Here is your Lesson 1.3.4 worksheet.

|
1.) Start Notes: Targets
Title your notes and write the targets listed below.
Title your notes and write the targets listed below.
- I can find the solution set to any inequality using properties of equality.
- I can represent the solution set of an inequality on a number line.
3.) Video: Warm Up
Watch this video to see how I worked through the warm up. |
|
5.) Video: Practice 1
Watch this video to see how we graph a solution set of an inequality on a number line. |
|
7.) Video: Practice 2
Watch this video to see if we got the same answers. Make sure to check part b especially. |
|
8.) Notes: Practice 3
It is important to keep in mind that not everything is a "property of equality". In other words, sometimes doing the same thing to both sides of an inequality does not result in the same solution sets (it changes the answer). Test out these two scenarios to see if we can square or multiply by a negative when working with inequalities. |
9.) Video: Practice 3
This is an important video to watch to understand why we can or cannot square or multiply by a negative to both sides of an inequality. |
|
11.) Video: Practice 4
Please please watch AND LISTEN to this video. It explains why we have the rule of flipping the sign when we multiply by a negative. |
